By no means do not detour your journey nor drive here on purpose to see this, it's not worth it at all. We were driving from Seattle to Seaside, OR so it was on our way and dropped by to see it. Like… Full review by BrakiWorldTraveler

If you're a Kurt Cobain fan, I guess this would be a must-see in Aberdeen. My husband and I struck up a conversation with a friendly stranger in Newport, Oregon, who told us about it. (He wanted to k… Full review by andreaarthurowan

You can see everything driving by. Almost looks like someone's back yard...just down the road however is a lovely park...so drive by and then stop there. Full review by M6737BYlesliew
I was hoping if i could get a little advise and some tips of direction? I'm looking into making a trip to Seattle with a friend, but none of us drive. What are good ways and means of getting around Seattle? And stopping by Kurts memorial bridge? Could we get a bus from the city station to Aberdeen young bridge? What would our budget have to be for travel for getting a return bus, moving around on the sub?

Hi!! I don't know how much help this will be - but, I'll try to give you as much info as I can. Getting around Seattle will be easy. Lots of bus lines, light rail, city wide bike rentals, even a trolley line down on the docks. (No subway.) Getting to Aberdeen won't be that easy. Trying to get there by public transportation is made difficult by the mere fact that you'll be travelling through King, Pierce, Thurston and Grays Harbor Counties (each county having it's own bus services). Lots of bus transfers and lost time waiting for connecting buses. If everything would fall in line perfectly, I would guess it would take somewhere around 6 hours (about 3 hours by car, a bit more if traffic is bad - and Seattle is notorious for it's bad traffic). I must admit that we've never even attempted to travel by bus as our systems are not all that user friendly, especially when travelling from one county to the next. I'm a "60-something" Cobain fan and found the pilgrimage quite moving. We retired to Ocean Shores a few yeas back and now live just 25 miles from Curt's Memorial Park. Hope this info is useful. If you get to Aberdeen, you're just miles from some of the most beautiful sandy beaches.
