I would consider the cabins rustic, yet nice. The grounds are rocky, mostly natural unkept landscaping. Not much of a view from cabins, yet the lodge had a great feel and Sylvan Lake itself is only a short hike or drive. My family had a great stay!
The last time that I stayed at the Sylvan Lake Lodge I remember that two cowboys entertained us almost every evening in the main part of the lodge. Does entertainment such as this still exist?

That did not occur for us when we stayed there for a week in Sept 2014 for the Buffalo Roundup. Although, you should check with the lodge directly to see what the offer throughout the season. We did go on the Chuckwagon dinner tour that leaves out of Blue Bell lodge. Our cowboy entertained us on our tour through the park and then the entire cowboy band entertained us at our dinner in the patk. It was awesome!
