Don't stay in the Mulroy Woods Hotel , it's a hotel full of Afghan migrants and this place is no longer a proper hotel, people should be made aware that this place is a migrant centre. Full review by Smokey C

It's about 1600 miles (2600 km) in length and as such is one of the longest defined coastal routes in the world. It winds its way all along the Irish coast from the Inishowen Peninsula in the north Down to Kinsale, County Cork, in the south. Probably best to pick a section starting in Kinsale, close to Cork Airport and meander up to Galway as an interesting primer. Good luck in your research.

Hello, I was reading your review on the WAW and you mentioned the Dingle Peninsula. We will be there in April and I am wondering how the Dingle Peninsula was as we might not be able to fit it in, since we are doing the Ring of Kerry. Thank you for any help, colleen
A:
Hi, we chose Dingle as we just didn’t have time to do both and the weather fogged in over the Ring of Kerry. Try and stay in the Kilrush Marina glamming pods ... such fun. Safe travels:)

In this day and age, there are a ton of ways to line up lists of possible stays so that when you get to an area, you can probably find a place; but if you have a plan to see specific things in locations, and can "set a pin" in the map for a few nights, you'll probably save a TON of cash if you book in advance instead of hoping for the best.

We are hoping to do the wild Atlantic Way from Kinsale to Derry with our 2 dogs in May 2018, wondering if it’s possible to hire a dog friendly motorhome or to drive in our car then do pet friendly b&bs? Any advice from anyone who’s done this with dogs please?

I have not made this trip with dogs, but I have taken my dog on many trips and have great luck finding dog-friendly AirBnB’s using their app. I love that they have a pet filter so I can just search for homes that allow pets. I’m sorry that’s my only piece of advice - but I’d give it a look. (PS - I did stay in 3 different AirBnB locations while in Ireland and had great experiences with all of them.)
