NBC dropped a bombshell just hours before the NBA Draft Lottery. NBC announced that Michael Jordan, arguably the NBA’s greatest player, will join their team as a special contributor.

Michael Jordan is officially returning to the NBA spotlight, this time as a special contributor for NBC’s new NBA coverage beginning with the 2025–26 season. NBC made the announcement Monday during its Upfront presentation at Radio City Music Hall, with Jordan delivering a message to confirm the news.

Michael Jordan hasn't been an NBA media personality at all since retirement. Most of his involvement with the league came as the Governor and majority owner of the Charlotte Hornets until 2023. He never joined TNT or ESPN to share his thoughts on the game, so we literally have no clue how Jordan views the current generation of NBA players.
