Striking Teamsters at Republic Services this week are dramatically escalating their war against the waste giant by extending picket lines to Los Angeles and a major landfill in Ohio.

If your trash is normally picked up by Republic Services in King and Snohomish counties, it might be piling up while workers are on strike demanding better wages, benefits and working conditions.

This week, Teamsters said it will extend its picket lines to Los Angeles.
