The Lakers helped addressed a need to increase their athleticism at the wing by selecting Arkansas' Adou Thiero with the No. 36 overall pick of the NBA draft.

Arkansas' Adou Thiero was selected by the 36th overall pick in the second round of the 2025 NBA Draft Thursday by the Los Angeles Lakers. Thiero spent three seasons in total in college, all under coach John Calipari with the first two at Kentucky before making the transition with Calipari to Arkansas.

The Los Angeles Lakers have selected Adou Thiero out of Arkansas with the 36th pick in the 2025 NBA Draft. The Lakers originally had the 55th pick in the second round, which is being held at Barclays Center, but traded up twice to get the sixth pick on Thursday.
