Commercial airlines around the world on Monday were weighing how long to suspend Middle East flights after the United States struck Iran. Singapore Airlines also canceled flights from Singapore to Dubai following a security assessment.

"While there have been no specific threats made against civil aviation, Iran has previously warned it would retaliate by attacking US military interests in the Middle East – either directly or via proxies such as Hezbollah," Safe Airspace said.

Dubai and Doha are two of the busiest transit hubs connecting the Middle East to the United States, Europe, and Asia. The airline shutdowns mark a serious disruption to global travel at a moment when tensions continue to escalate.
