This announcement comes after Southport Police announced the arrest of Nigel Edge in connection with the deadly shooting.
A gunman opened fire from a boat outside a waterfront bar in coastal North Carolina late Saturday, killing three people and wounding eight others. The shooting happened at the American Fish Company in Southport, according to city spokesperson ChyAnn Ketchum. A person of interest has been taken in for questioning, she said, reports CNN.

Three people were killed Saturday, Sept. 27 in a shooting in Southport. Officials also said multiple people were taken to local hospitals with injuries.
According to ABC affiliate WWAY, Lennie Rogers said his wife Joy Rogers, 64, died in the shooting Saturday night. The couple moved to the coast about a year ago from California. Both were at the American Fish Company when shots were fired. In a statement obtained by WWAY, the Rogers family said:
