Tottenham Hotspur have reached an agreement with Bayern Munich to sign Mathys Tel on a permanent transfer, sources confirmed to ESPN.

Tottenham have completed the permanent signing of Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich on a six-year deal. The 20-year-old forward spent the second half of last season on loan from the Bundesliga champions and scored three goals in 20 appearances.

The 20-year-old has signed a six-year contract at the club after spending the second of the 2024-25 season on loan in north London.

Bayern Munich formally presented new center-back Jonathan Tah to the public for the first time on Friday and the former Bayer Leverkusen defender seemed happy to be with his new club (even if it is a year later than he might have liked).

Arsenal are yet to make any new signings so far this summer and two of manager Mikel Arteta's top targets are also of interest to Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich
