LI's Charlie McAvoy named to 2026 U.S. Olympic men's hockey team
Boston Bruins defenseman and Long Beach native Charlie McAvoy was one of the first six players named to the 2026 U.S. Olympic hockey team Monday, but Rangers defenseman Adam Fox, the Jericho native and former Norris Trophy winner as the NHL’s top defenseman, was not.
The Bruins defenseman was one of the “first six” players named to Team USA’s preliminary roster for the Milano Cortina games.
The 12 competing men’s hockey countries announced the first six players on their rosters on Monday. No Rangers made the cut.
