An updated flash flood warning was issued by the NWS Wakefield VA on Sunday at 6 p.m. in effect until 7:30 p.m. for Camden and Pasquotank counties.

The warning was active for Cumberland County. "The heavy rain has ended and flooding is no longer expected to pose a threat. However, there may be lingering water on area roadways. Please avoid flooded roads and continue to heed remaining road closures," states the NWS Raleigh NC. The warning is in effect until 8:15 p.m.

NWS issues a Flood Watch for DC, Maryland, and Virginia due to potential flash flooding from expected heavy rainfall.
