Israel has launched new strikes on Yemen's capital. It comes after Israel's defence minister warned Hamas must agree to their conditions or face "annihilation" and see Gaza "destroyed". Donald Trump said he's "not thrilled" after Israel attacked the Qatari capital of Doha yesterday.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that taking over Gaza City will convince Hamas to give up the remaining hostages and will lead to the group's defeat. The IDF on Tuesday morning issued its largest evacuation order yet for Gaza City.

The European Commission president, meanwhile, said she would seek sanctions and a partial trade suspension against Israel over the war in the Gaza Strip. The move adds to Israel’s already unprecedented global isolation as it grapples with the fallout from its strike targeting Hamas leaders in U.S.-allied Qatar.

The U.S. president gave Hamas what sounded like an ultimatum to either agree to a new truce proposal or face a full-scale Israeli assault on Gaza City.

Over the past several days, Israel has destroyed multiple high-rise buildings in Gaza City, warning that Hamas has installed surveillance infrastructure in them.

The army says the strike was carried out with precision munitions and aerial surveillance to minimize civilian harm. This is the fourth high-rise in Gaza City hit by the IDF in as many days, with the military saying each of the buildings was exploited by Hamas for terror activity.

Hundreds of thousands of Palestinians are facing famine in the area of Gaza City, according to a global hunger monitor.
