Hundreds of students from Iowa's largest school district left their classrooms Sept. 30 in protest of Superintendent Dr. Ian Roberts' arrest by ICE.
WOODBURY COUNTY, Iowa — Former Des Moines Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Ian Roberts has been taken into custody by the U.S. Department of Justice and is no longer in custody at Woodbury County Jail, the sheriff's office said in a release. The DOJ took Roberts into custody on a federal warrant for his arrest.
Des Moines Public Schools previously stated that Ian Roberts received an MBA from MIT. The university has no record of his enrollment.
