Latino leaders are expressing dismay over recent immigration enforcement operations in Chicago. The incidents include a fatal shooting during a traffic stop, the arrest of an immigrant at a barbershop and a standoff between protesters and agents at an immigration processing facility.

Demonstrators say agents detained Willian Gimenez on Friday as he was entering a Little Village barbershop near Cermak and Washtenaw with his wife.

The incident comes days after the Trump Administration announced an immigration enforcement campaign known as "Operation Midway Blitz."

The group shouted “shame” and "Gestapo,” and applauded as agents in the ICE-led action drove a Border Patrol SUV away on four flat tires, which had been slashed.
