When iPhone users accepted new iCloud terms, some were shocked to see all their Notes disappear from the app. Here's how to get them back.

Some iPhone users are reporting the sudden disappearance of content from the Notes app. Luckily for them, there seems to be a quick fix for it.

Users should head to their Settings app, and tap their name at the top of the screen, to access their Apple Account Settings. Users should then tap iCloud, followed by Notes, and then toggle on "Sync this iPhone."

The clue is that if you’re confronted with an empty list in the Notes app, a closer inspection will show that these are in the “On My iPhone” section. That group applies only to locally stored notes that aren’t synced to iCloud. This section doesn’t appear when iCloud Sync is enabled unless some notes are already stored there.

Upon accepting new iCloud terms, some iPhone users say their notes are all gone. But fear not, there is a remedy.
