At least 24 people have been killed in Israel as Iran launched retaliatory airstrikes targeting civilian areas. A U.S. Embassy branch in Tel Aviv suffered minor damage.

Smoke could be seen over the Tel Aviv skyline on Tuesday, amid reports of more Iranian strikes. It comes as Israel appeared to be expanding its air campaign on Tehran and U.S. President Donald Trump posted an ominous message warning residents of the city to evacuate.

Israel identified and struck missile launchers in Iran overnight, the Israel Defense Forces said Sunday morning. "Over the past hour, the IAF completed an additional series of strikes on storage and missile launch infrastructure sties in western Iran," the IDF said in an update on the Telegram messaging app at about 8 a.m. in Israel.
