HBO Max is floating its first official teaser trailer for Welcome to Derry. The upcoming series is a prequel to the hit IT films which adapted Stephen King ‘s horror masterpiece about a small town in Maine that’s cursed by the presence of a shapeshifting killer clown which returns to murder a slew of children every 27 years.

The Home Box Office is about to get a lot creepier this fall. HBO has dropped the first teaser trailer for “It: Welcome to Derry,” the network’s highly-anticipated “It” prequel series. And it’s just as unsettling as everything else connected to this clown.

Warner Bros. has recently released the first official trailer for It – Welcome to Derry, the upcoming prequel series set to release soon.

It then jumps to Maine in 1962, as It looks to terrorize a fresh batch of pre-teens. "No adult is ever gonna believe what we saw," says one at one point. "I heard voices in the pipes," another whispers later. Bone-chilling stuff.

HBO dropped a promo for the prequel series It: Welcome to Derry to announce that an official teaser will be released this Tuesday.
