Mariah Carey accepted her Video Vanguard Award at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, Sept. 7. The win marked her second-ever Video Music Award — and she won her first earlier in the night.

Hosted by LL Cool J and featuring performances by stars including Tate McRae, Alex Warren, Sabrina Carpenter, Doja Cat, and Lady Gaga -- who also leads with 12 nominations -- the 2025 MTV VMAs were filled with memorable moments from start to finish.
