Edmonton Oilers goalie Stuart Skinner set the record straight in a few different ways after his first official practice of training camp.

Edmonton Oilers winger Zach Hyman will miss at least the first three weeks of the 2025-26 season as he continues recovering from a wrist injury suffered during the Western Conference Final last May, head coach Kris Knoblauch told reporters Thursday.

Despite the injury, Hyman said he had been able to train his lower body in the offseason and is back on the ice on his own. The Oilers held their first on-ice sessions Thursday and will play two split-squad games against the Calgary Flames on Sunday to open the preseason.
