Former UFC champion Rose Namajunas has called her shot regarding possible next opponents after her win at UFC Atlanta.
Rose Namajunas became infamous for telling the world during her UFC title runs — and more importantly, telling herself — that she’s the best. To say it is one thing, though. To do it is another.
Former champs Kamaru Usman, Rose Namajunas and Cody Garbrandt went 2-1 at UFC Atlanta, setting them down varying paths forward.
Namajunas lost a points decision to Erin Blanchfield in her last outing in November, describing it as hitting a "speed bump" and has also been beaten by title contender Manon Fiorot. The Milwaukee native, who is 13-7 overall in her MMA career, says her goal is to earn a title shot.
After ‘Bullet’ got past Manon Fiorot at UFC 315 in May, she was quickly called out by the queen from below, strawweight titleholder Zhang Weili. Having cemented herself as the dominant force at 115 pounds, the Chinese star is after the opportunity to join Nunes as only the second two-division female champ in UFC history.
