Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he is prepared to meet Vladimir Putin this week, shortly after US President Donald Trump urged him to “immediately” accept the Russian leader’s offer to hold peace talks in Turkey.

Russia resumed mass drone attacks in Ukraine early on Sunday, after its self-declared three-day pause expired.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Sunday he is hoping for a full and temporary ceasefire with Russia starting Monday, adding he would be in Turkey to negotiate with Russian President Vladimir Putin “personally.
