Officials are reminding tourists that the South Rim of the Grand Canyon is still open for business despite the Dragon Bravo Fire on the North Rim.
The Dragon Bravo Fire in Arizona has destroyed dozens of structures and a water treatment facility on the Grand Canyon's North Rim.
The visitor center and a wastewater treatment plant were among the 50 to 80 structures lost, the park superintendent said. The area was evacuated Thursday.
"Though it was definitely not your average vacation trip, everything worked out okay. We made the best of it," Russ Christian said.
