AUSTIN - Texas survived. When the situation looked its bleakest for a challenged Longhorn softball team in an elimination game in its own super regional Friday night, Texas turned to Teagan Kavan. And Kavan turned away a feisty Clemson team in a personal masterpiece.

Texas softball forced Game 3 at the Austin super regional with a 7-5 win over Clemson in 10 innings, a performance head coach Mike called "gutsy."

Texas softball pitcher Teagan Kavan hasn't looked like herself in her past few outings. Oklahoma rattled the Longhorns ace last month, recording 12 hits and 14 runs in just a little more than four innings pitched over two games.

Texas beats Clemson in three games to return to Women's College World Series for third time in last four seasons under coach Mike White.
