Jon Jones brutally attacked one of his former UFC rivals in a rant that has gone viral online. There can be no doubt that across the history of the UFC, it's hard to argue that there have been many fighters as good as Jones.
Jon Jones names unbeaten UFC phenom the ‘toughest fighter on the planet’ who could win at any weight
Chimaev dominated Dricus du Plessis at UFC 319 last time out to become the champ at 185 pounds, and that result only cemented Jones’ incredibly high opinion of ‘Borz’ and his belief that the 31-year-old could add much more gold to his trophy cabinet.
The respect between Jones and Team Khabib Nurmagomedov is mutual. In fact, the late Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, who was instrumental in 'The Eagle' and Makhachev's success in MMA, hailed 'Bones' as the greatest fighter the sport has ever seen.
And now, it has been revealed that the pair will meet again as coaches for the ALF reality series, a Russian MMA series similar to the UFC's 'The Ultimate Fighter'. The likes of Khamzat Chimaev, Petr Yan, Aljamain Sterling and Nate Diaz have all acted as coaches in previous series, with Jones even briefly serving as a coach alongside Diaz.
The desire for that huge clash in Washington D.C. arose when Pereira called out Jones for a heavyweight showdown after he exacted revenge on Magomed Ankalaev to win back the light heavyweight crown last October.
Alex Pereira has Jan Blachowicz's full support for a heavyweight move.

Dominick Cruz confident Jon Jones beats Tom Aspinall: ‘He just faced guys that couldn’t really wrestle’

The bout ended in disaster for both fighters, with Aspinall unable to continue following a Gane eye poke near the end of the first round. Still, Cruz saw enough in the short contest to question how Aspinall would fare against Jones.
