More than a dozen celebrities made surprise appearances on Stephen Colbert ’s second-to-last "Late Show" episode Wednesday night, with two of them taking swipes at President Donald Trump.

After 11 seasons, "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" is coming to an end.

The lingering question of the night – who would be the final guest of Colbert’s 11-year run? – had been answered.

CBS announced its controversial decision to cancel "The Late Show" in July.

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert ended for good last night, but the late-night series certainly went out with a bang, rather than a whimper, as early ratings reveal a major audience win.

Colbert's final show took place on May 21, with a number of prominent stars and musical guests in attendance.
