Somis School launched a new program on Tuesday to teach computer science and coding to every student from Kindergarten to eighth grade.

A number of school districts are experimenting with "physical computing" as a way to help students understand computer science through hands-on activity.

It’s about teaching children computer science and showing them the opportunities it presents. In Genoa, 625 elementary students learned coding. Most Toledo-area schools had similar programming.
