A major brush fire at Schofield Barracks burned 570 acres but is 50% contained as the U.S. Army and federal firefighters continue to extinguish the blaze.
Federal and City firefighters are working to contain a 250-acre brush fire on the Schofield Barracks Range. According to U.S. Army Garrison Hawaii, the fire has been burning slowly since June 3, and the cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
