The Boston Celtics will be active in the next few months to get under the second tax apron with Jayson Tatum set to miss most of the 2025-26 season after his Achilles tear against the New York Knicks in the NBA Playoffs.

Despite all the questions surrounding the Celtics’ coming offseason, Brad Stevens didn’t want to discuss the future much at his annual end-of-season press conference on Monday. In an opening statement,

Jayson Tatum wasn’t the only injured star on the Celtics. Jaylen Brown finished the season while playing through a partially torn right meniscus, according to a Saturday ESPN report. Brown, 28, will reportedly undergo evaluation this week to see if he will need surgery.

The Celtics star battled knee issues from the NBA All-Star break on, with Boston listing him on its injury report with a right knee posterior impingement and bone bruise. He missed eight of the final 16 regular-season games and admitted he was playing through pain when he did suit up.
