Los Angeles Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani will soon take the next major step toward his eventual return to the mound. Prior to Friday's game against the New York Mets, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told reporters,

Ohtani will take a significant step forward in his recovery from a second elbow surgery when he faces hitters Saturday for the first time since August 2023.

The Dodgers star is reportedly throwing as hard as 95 mph in bullpen sessions, but his return remains unclear.
