It’s going to be a very windy day across Northeast Ohio with gusts up to 50 mph possible at times, which is why the National Weather Service in Cleveland has issued a Wind Advisory for a number of counties. In effect from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Friday for the following counties:
Powerful Santa Ana winds whipped across Southern California early Friday, rattling the San Fernando Valley and prompting warnings that damaging gusts could last through Sunday afternoon in parts of Los Angeles and Ventura counties.
Strong, potentially damaging winds are expected across large portions of western and central NY today, prompting multiple high wind warnings and wind advisories from the NWS in Buffalo.

Jefferson, Lewis counties under Wind Advisory on Friday
WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWTI) – Both Jefferson and Lewis counties could be in for a windy end to the work week. The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for both counties starting at 1 a.m. Friday and lasting until 11 a.m. the same day.
On Wednesday at 11:34 a.m. a wind advisory was released by the NWS San Diego CA valid from Thursday 9 p.m. until Saturday 1 p.m. for Santa Ana Mountains and Foothills.
An updated wind advisory was issued by the NWS Seattle WA on Tuesday at 9:18 a.m. in effect until noon for Lowlands of Western Whatcom County and Island County.
