Riot Games’ policies surrounding League of Legends’ Riot Points currency and the way players can refund their purchases are changing in March.

"League of Legends" Prestige Points will soon be removed by Riot Games. But, what will replace this in-game currency?

Riot Points allow players to purchase in game characters, items and cosmetics. Upon signing up for the pre-paid card, League of Legends players will receive 1000 Riot Points.

"For League of Legends, this translates into most players rating their matchmaking rating at about 150 points higher than their actual matchmaking rating," say Riot.

The two companies are partnering for a line of prepaid debit cards illustrated with characters and scenes from League of Legends.

Riot is adding WASD movement controls to League of Legends. This happens nearly 16 years after the game first launched.
