Kylian Mbappé had his best night so far in a Real Madrid shirt on Wednesday as his hat-trick propelled Los Blancos to a 3-1 win – 6-3 on aggregate – over Manchester City and into the Champions League round of 16.
The crowd broke out the "oles" by the 70th minute as Real Madrid crushed Manchester City 3-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu. It wasn't a close affair with Real Madrid coasting past Manchester City 6-3 on aggregate.
Madrid started the game in excellent fashion, with Kylian Mbappe latching onto a long ball over the top in the fourth minute before lobbing Ederson in the City goal. They then doubled their advantage in the 33rd minute, with Mbappe collecting the ball on the edge of the box before dribbling past defenders and finishing.
Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti said Tuesday his team were doing a good job given their packed fixture list, describing the football calendar as "absurd" and "unsustainable".
