After yielding 4 goals in a defensively-horrific second period, they responded with just 3 shots on goal in a mail-it-in third. In all the 12 Oilers forwards mustered just 8 shots on net, and the 6 defencemen blocked none at all.
Now admittedly that is not a solution without potential negative implications. If anyone else but one of them is the second line center, then that line may not be as strong. It is Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Adam Henrique, or some kind of newly acquired player-to-be-named-later. And on the latter suggestion, that would not come cheap or easy.
