Kevin Durant created a stir on social media after the basketball star lauded J. Cole’s rap skills while throwing shade at fans of “fake tough guys” in Hip-Hop. On Sunday (Feb. 23), Durant took to X to share his reaction to Cole’s new song, “cLOUDS,” which was released Friday (Feb. 21).
Durant and Royce O’Neale came out swinging offensively, combining for 15 of the Suns’ first 17 points. Despite their hot start, quick buckets in response by Green and Eason kept the Rockets afloat. The Suns still built up a 22-15 lead, but Dillon Brooks captained a 7-2 scoring run to bring Phoenix’s lead down to just two.
Amen Thompson had a triple-double of 18 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds and the Houston Rockets used a big run late to get a 119-111 win over the Phoenix Suns.
