The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) adopted a US-drafted resolution on the third anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine that takes a neutral position on the conflict as US President Donald Trump seeks to broker an end to the war.

The UN Security Council has adopted the US-drafted resolution on the conflict in Ukraine in its original form, rejecting amendments by both European countries and Russia, a TASS correspondent reported.

Russia views the resolution on the conflict in Ukraine adopted by the UN Security Council as a starting point for further efforts to peacefully settle the crisis, the country's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Vasily Nebenzya said.
