Update December 11, 2025: Google has started rolling out a redesigned photos viewer for Google Photos on Android. It’s a more streamlined viewer that does incorporate Material 3 Expressive design.
Open the Google Photos app on your phone. Tap your profile icon in the upper-right corner and select Google Photos settings .
