The last outage for Outlook came in June when we quipped that Microsoft is so keen for users to migrate to the New Outlook email client that it appeared to have broken Classic Outlook… again. On that occasion, the reported issues emerged on virtual desktop infrastructure.
The fix is also expected to reach Outlook 2016 on July 1 and Outlook 2019 on July 8. To see which version you're running, select the File menu in Outlook and click Office Account.
Now, another issue has cropped up: Outlook is crashing when many different emails are opened at once. Microsoft is aware of both problems and currently working on permanent fixes for both.
