Crossbody straps have become a popular accessory with Gen Z and Gen Alpha, and Apple seems poised to release a magnetic crossbody accessory for the new iPhone 17 (and possibly new AirPods as well). A leaker released this picture showing a bright orange strap, which would attach to the iPhone magnetically.

Air preorders haven’t opened in China, and Apple no longer lists a release date. Apple has postponed preorders of the iPhone Air in mainland China, which were due to open today, with regulatory issues around eSIM almost certainly to blame.

Both smartphones can run iOS 26, which comes with the new Liquid Glass design language that Apple debuted at WWDC in June and is introducing across all of its devices this year. iOS 26 will come preloaded on the iPhone 17 and be available as a download on September 15th for the iPhone 11 and newer.
