Powerball players in Missouri and Texas have won the nearly $1.8 billion jackpot, overcoming astronomical odds to end the lottery game’s three-month drought without a big winner.

A $2 million Powerball ticket was sold in Tacoma, according to Washington’s Lottery. The winning ticket was purchased for the Wednesday, Sept. 10 drawing at the 76 Rocket gas station, located at 15119 Pacific Avenue South in Tacoma.

A $2 million Powerball ticket was sold in Tacoma, thanks to a Power Play add-on doubling the prize. The Rocket convenience store in Tacoma will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket. Several other big lottery wins occurred in Washington, including $50,000 and $100,000 prizes.

With the help of a Powerball jackpot that reached $1 billion by the end of August, the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery's total revenue and the amount raised for college scholarships for the month both narrowly exceeded figures from the same month in 2024.

The winning lottery ticket was sold from a 76 gas station at 15119 Pacific Ave. S. near the Lake Spanaway Golf Course. Because the ticket was purchased during the Power Play add-on on drawing night, the purchaser's prize money doubled from $1 million into a $2 million prize.

The Kansas Lottery says a $2 million Powerball ticket was sold via the Kansas Lottery app and claimed by a player in the Kansas City area.
