Outdoor plans in states from Texas and Oklahoma to Florida could be in jeopardy through the rest of Memorial Day weekend as a slow-moving storm system threatens millions with rounds of torrential rain and severe weather.
North Texas will see hot, humid weather this Memorial Day weekend, with severe storms expected late Sunday into Monday. Threats include hail, strong winds, and flooding, with storms likely continuing into Monday night.
Yet another round of severe storms will be possible on Sunday in Alabama. And Monday. And Tuesday too. The National Weather Service said the strongest storms all three days could have winds strong enough to topple trees and take down power lines as well as hail and heavy rain.
