Thousands of people will be hitting the streets of San Francisco for the annual Bay to Breakers race on Sunday. The first wave of runners leaves at 8 a.m., and the last wave will leave at 8:45 a.m. from Main and Howard streets.

Though the sunny skies were perfect for one of San Francisco's biggest events of the year, some participants at the annual Bay to Breakers were left without their highly anticipated badges of honor. The historic footrace drew thousands of people to the San Francisco streets on Sunday,

The 2025 edition of the Bay to Breakers run in San Francisco, a staple of city since 1912, features thousands of costumed racers starting near the San Francisco Bay and finishing at the Pacific Ocean's "breakers" at Ocean Beach.
