Vice President Vance accused the California governor of "egging on" rioters in Los Angeles amid ICE and DHS expanding their operations.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom, a Democrat, has challenged Vice President JD Vance, a Republican, to face off in a debate, but Vance has not responded on X to the governor's post.

Vice President JD Vance visited Los Angeles on Friday to meet with federal, state and local officials about immigration raids that have roiled the city, as well as attending a high-dollar GOP fundraiser.
