The NFL on Saturday issued an announcement regarding Travis Kelce, releasing information on the punishment for the Chiefs veteran for having been flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct.

While the team was set to depart this afternoon, the weather, along with a broken-down treatment truck, forced KCI to shut down the airfield. Now, the FOX4 sports team has confirmed their plane is stuck on the runway.

The team was at the airport on board a charter flight bound for Denver, Colorado, when the airfield was closed at 2:50 p.m. Saturday. Freezing rain has been causing problems for travel across the Kansas City area, icing roadways Saturday afternoon. The National Weather Service in Kansas City said travel is not advised.
