"Happy Gilmore 2" reunites Adam Sandler with original cast members Julie Bowen and Christopher McDonald, while adding new faces, including the comedian's daughters, Sadie and Sunny.

“Carl Weathers had a massive part,” Sandler, 58, confirmed. Weathers, who died at age 76 on Feb. 1, 2024, played the one-handed Derick "Chubbs" Peterson — mentor to Sandler’s titular hockey player-turned-golfer — in the 1996 sports comedy.

Carl Weathers, who played Chubbs Peterson in the first Happy Gilmore, passed away in 2024 and thus was not able to be part of the sequel.
