As Hurricane Humberto gained momentum Saturday as a Category 4 storm in the Atlantic, forecasters have been keeping an eye on a bigger threat to the west: the soon-to-be Tropical Storm Imelda, which some forecast models predict will make landfall in the Carolinas.

As the National Hurricane Center tracks Hurricane Humberto, it's also watching a tropical depression likely to become Tropical Storm Imelda.
Neither of these storms has Delaware in its crosshairs, but Humberto at least will send some swell to Delaware's beaches. This creates large waves and increased danger for rip currents. Lifeguards are off duty, so do not swim while the rip current danger is moderate to high.
