A police officer is fighting for his life after he was stabbed in the neck in Camden, New Jersey, Sunday evening, according to investigators who say the attacked appeared to be unprovoked. Léelo en español aquí.

A 38-year-old man from Sicklerville was charged with attempted murder after officials said he stabbed a Camden County police officer on Sunday night.

McKnight, who joined the force two years ago, was hospitalized in critical but stable condition. A suspect, 38-year-old Richard Dennis of Sicklerville, was arrested minutes later after fleeing toward South 7th Street and Kaighns Avenue,
