EUGENE, OR — Eight athletes represented Montana at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships in Eugene, Oregon with seven for Montana State University and three from the Treasure State.

The Blue Devils left the national competition with several top-five finishes amongst the men’s and women’s teams, with 14 athletes combining for 17 USTFCCCA All-America honors as Duke tallied its most significant performance at the meet in years.

EUGENE—As the crowd of runners in the men’s 800-meter race turned to the final stretch at Hayward Field on Friday afternoon, Oregon senior Matthew Erickson found himself in the back of the group.
