Red Sox starter Garrett Crochet had one of his best outings of the season on Sunday against the Braves in Atlanta.

Sunday marked another step forward for Trevor Story, who gave Garrett Crochet all the support he needed to pick up a crucial win over the Atlanta Braves.

“Similar to Caballero the other day,” manager Alex Cora said. “They took a chance. They’re really good at what they do base running-wise. Volpe with the hop-hop and he goes. But Narvi, he made a great throw. He actually talked with Whit when he came in. Kind of like, ‘Hey, you have to mix up your looks and you’ve gotta be quick the plate.’”

A game-tying solo home run in the ninth inning by Aaron Judge robbed Red Sox ace Garrett Crochet of his first win at Fenway Park.
