Sam Burns will try to secure the biggest win of his career when he sets off in the final round of the U.S. Open clinging to a one-shot lead over Australian Adam Scott and J.J. Spaun at Oakmont Country Club on Sunday.

The WNBA superstar–and avid golfer—made her return to the basketball court on Saturday in thrilling fashion with a 32-point, seven three-pointer performance. But on Sunday, it appears that she's posted up on her couch watching the U.S. Open. And it got her wondering about taking on the famed Pittsburgh-area track.

Play has been suspended in the final round of the U.S. Open due to heavy rain falling at Oakmont Country Club. The horn sounded at 4:01 p.m. ET Sunday — the signal for players to get off the golf course as torrential downpour ensued. The leaders have played seven holes.

That format is a two-hole aggregate-score playoff, and at Oakmont would include the short par-4 17th and par-4 18th holes. Low score for the two holes would win, and if players remained tied after that a sudden-death playoff would begin at the 15th hole, then 16, 17 and 18.

Championship Sunday was suspended, at least temporarily, as rain began to pour down at Oakmont Country Club for the 2025 U.S. Open.

From an overhead view, the sight is somewhat jarring. The Pennsylvania Turnpike essentially cuts Oakmont's golf course in half.

That didn't stop golf fans from enjoying their Father's Day afternoon, though. In place of the live action, NBC decided to air highlights from the final two rounds of the 2008 U.S. Open, which was won by Tiger Woods at Torrey Pines while on a bum knee.
