(The Hill) — Ousted MSNBC analyst Matthew Dowd said MSNBC bent its knee to a “right wing media mob” after the outlet fired him over comments he made on air about the shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

That led to an outcry on social media, and a later apology from the president of MSNBC, Rebecca Kutler. Dowd also apologized. But he was dropped from the network’s line up of political analysts, after serving in that role since 2022.
